Supporting Accessibility at Dunfermline Athletic FC
We are delighted to be working with Dunfermline Athletic FC on a project to support accessibility at their facilities, helping consider the needs of disabled supporters, visitors and staff and identifying opportunities to create a more inclusive environment.
Football clubs welcome a wide range of supporters, visitors, staff and guests, all of whom should be able to access and enjoy the facilities as comfortably and independently as possible. Considering the needs of disabled people is an important part of creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment.
A Disability Access Audit considers the accessibility of a building, its facilities and the services provided. Depending on the premises, this can include entrances and approaches, parking and drop-off areas, circulation routes, seating areas, toilets, signage, lighting and communication facilities. The assessment helps identify potential barriers experienced by people with mobility, sensory and other disabilities.
Practical Accessibility Assessments
Through our work with organisations across Scotland and throughout the UK, We provide practical accessibility assessments and recommendations to help clients understand where improvements may be beneficial. Each audit is tailored to the individual premises, taking account of its layout, facilities and the needs of the people who use them.
We look forward to working with Dunfermline Athletic FC on this project and supporting their consideration of accessibility for supporters and visitors.
