Our on-site, face-to-face training courses are tailored to the Evacuation Chair or Stair Climber that your company has acquired.
We will provide you and your staff with the hands-on practical experience and knowledge required to give you peace of mind, knowing how to safely operate the equipment and carry out a safe evacuation of mobility-impaired people.

Important
When choosing the delegates to attend the course it is important to understand that during the training courses the delegate will need to participate in moving and lifting techniques and will also carry out a number of practical lifting and moving exercises.
- The delegate will need to confirm that they do not have, nor that they are not receiving any treatment for a condition that may affect their ability to engage in such physical activity without risk of pain or injury.

Evacuation Chair and Stairclimber Operator Training:
The training is an onsite, face-to-face course tailored specifically to the evacuation chair or stairclimber acquired by your organisation.
The course provides you and your nominated staff with hands-on, practical experience and the knowledge required to operate the equipment safely and effectively. It is designed to give staff the confidence to safely evacuate people with mobility impairments during an emergency.
ESL Services provides certified evacuation chair or stairclimber training courses, supporting materials and operator manuals to help nominated staff understand their responsibilities and the safe operation of evacuation equipment in an emergency.
The training covers the correct operation of the equipment, safe transfer and positioning of the user, deployment and use of the equipment, evacuation procedures, and appropriate safety precautions.
Regular refresher training, equipment checks and maintenance are essential to ensure that staff remain competent and that the equipment remains safe and ready for use. Training and maintenance requirements should be managed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and relevant legislation and standards, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO), BS 9999 and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER), as applicable.
Duration:
2 to 2.5 hours (Depending on the package)
Number of Delegates:
A maximum of 6 delegates are allowed on the course and must be a minimum of 18 years of age. A certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment.

Train the Trainer of Evacuation Chair Operator:
The Train the Trainer of Evacuation Chair or Stairclimber Operator course is an onsite, face-to-face training programme designed to provide nominated staff with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence required to train other staff members in the safe and effective use of the equipment.
The training will be tailored to the specific evacuation chair or stairclimber equipment installed at your premises and will include both theoretical and hands-on practical instruction.
The course will cover the safe operation of the equipment, correct evacuation procedures, risk assessment considerations, safe handling techniques and the key responsibilities of evacuation chair operators and trainers.
On completion of the course, nominated trainers will have the knowledge and practical experience required to deliver appropriate operator training to other members of staff and support the safe evacuation of people with mobility impairments during an emergency.
ESL Services provides certified equipment training, supporting training materials and operator manuals to assist nominated trainers in delivering consistent and effective training within their organisation.

4 to 5 hours (Depending on the package)
